Tell us about your special day, how did you choose the location? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details…

Simon and I got engaged in Byron Bay end of last year when we soon found out we would be relocating with Simon’s work to Switzerland! So I planned a wedding in 6 weeks so we could have a summer wedding and most importantly travel as a married couple. The day was perfect! we chose a relaxed boho chic vibe. I loved the neutral tones and the contrast of the bright reds and pinks in the bouquet and florals. The band was amazing and we had them play during canapés then the full band at night- there’s just something about live music! The venue was small and intimate with a stunning view of Rangitoto.

Tell us about your wedding dress and any tips you have for future brides….

As I didn’t have much time to buy a dress let alone get one made I felt my options were limited! Stepping into Jessica Bridal gave me hope- such an amazing range and lots that fitted with my boho chic vibe for the wedding, the brand I chose was from White April and I instantly fell in love! It was perfect and all that needed doing were a few minor alternations. The ladies at the New Market store fitted me in with the hundreds of others to make sure it was ready in time! I can’t thank them enough.

What was the most memorable moment from the day?

Everything! from the perfect weather to the breath taking views, the live music, our close friends and family to our first kiss.

Any advice you would like to share with other couple getting married?

Try not to get caught up in the small stuff, don’t fell like you have to change those chairs or hire new tables. remember what the day is all about, you, your partner and friends and family. try to take a moment to soak the day in- it goes by so fast!
